MSA Memberships Run from Oct. 1-Sept. 30. Memberships entered from this form will be valid for the 2008-2009 season, and expire on September 30, 2009. Members receive the Maine Snowmobiler newspaper (monthly, Sept.-May) and a membership decal, are eligible for the MSA scholarship award (must be a member for 2 years, and enroll by January 1 of the current season) and are covered by a $2000 accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy.
Among the services provided by the MSA are an on-staff lobbyist promoting Maine snowmobiling before the legislature, in-house print and online publications including this web site, the Maine Snowmobiler newspaper, the annual Snowmobile Maine Guide and the ITS trail map, the forum of monthly Directors meetings, production of the Maine Snowmobile Show, distribution of safety materials including the 'Ride Right' safety CD, maintenance of an e-mail alert list, production and distribution of membership materials, the MSA Super Raffle fundraiser, representation on numerous committees and organizations involved in access and outdoor recreation, and more.
Club members have the option of participating in trail work, fund raising, membership drives, social activities etc. Just contact the club and let them know how you would like to be involved.
The $27 family club membership on this site is offered for the convenience of potential members who cannot easily contact a local club. $15 of your payment is credited to the local club which you select; $12 is retained by the MSA. In actuality, each club sets its own fee for membership, some for more and some for less than the $27 requested. If you would prefer to join by contacting a club directly, drop them a note at the club address posted on the club list page or drop us an e-mail with your request and we'll e-mail back a contact name and phone number (or email address if available) for the club that you are interested in supporting.
